Alterations announced for Salisbury's Friday 14 September fixture

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced alterations to Salisbury's fixture on Friday 14 September following the abandonment of today's fixture. 

Due to an area of unsafe ground on the round course, Friday's fixture will take place on the straight course only, with an eight-race card comprised of four of the five races due to be run on the straight course today along with the four races originally scheduled to be run on the straight course on Friday.

The four races due to be run today which have been transferred to Friday will revert to original entries, and declare along with the four races originally planned for Friday tomorrow at 10am as per the usual procedure.

Towcester's 10 October Fixture transferred to Southwell

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that Towcester's 10 October Jump fixture has been transferred to Southwell. 

The afternoon fixture will remain a six-race card, with race programme details and further fixture information available via the Racing Admin website www2.racingadmin.co.uk .

Entry and declaration deadlines will remain as previously. 

Chepstow's 13 September fixture moved to Ffos Las, 18 September fixture moved to Lingfield

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the Flat track at Chepstow remaining unraceable, the course's two remaining Flat fixtures of the 2018 season have been transferred as follows:

Thursday 13 September - (Afternoon) - Ffos Las
Tuesday 18 September (Afternoon) - Lingfield AWT

Both fixtures will be afternoon seven-race cards as previously with entry and declaration stages for both fixtures remaining unchanged.

Race conditions will closely resemble those originally scheduled for Chepstow with necessary distance and safety factor changes and will be available on the Racing Admin website www2.racingadmin.co.uk  shortly, along with other fixture information. 

Limerick to host first Gr.1 race

Limerick racecourse will stage its first Gr.1 race, and the first at that level to be run in Munster, as the Greenmount Park Novice Chase has been upgraded. The 2m3½f chase will also have increased prize money of €90,000 when it is run as the centrepiece of the four-day December meeting this year on Wednesday, 26th December. Limerick will also added a new Listed hurdle for mares to its programme, with the new race due to be staged on Sunday, 14th October.

Racing returns to Bath on 5 September following inspection

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that Bath will be able to stage the fixture scheduled for Wednesday 5 September, having passed an inspection this morning, 29 August.

Entries, declarations, and fixture details will be as previously published and are available via the racing admin site, www2.racingadmin.co.uk. Further details are also available via the Bath Racecourse website, www.bath-racecourse.co.uk.

Executive Director of Bath Racecourse, Russell Smith said:

Chepstow's 3 September fixture transferred to Ffos Las

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that following the abandonment of Chepstow's 27 August fixture owing to unsafe ground, the BHA has permitted the transfer of Chepstow's next fixture on 3 September to Ffos Las. 

Original entries for the Chepstow races will be cancelled and entries for the new races will close at noon on Thursday, 30 August, with declarations according to the normal schedule. The card at Ffos Las will be a seven race, afternoon fixture as previously.
 
Race conditions will closely resemble those originally scheduled for Chepstow with necessary distance and safety factor changes and will be available on the Racing Admin website www2.racingadmin.co.uk  from 12 noon today, 29 August.
 

Bath's 28 August fixture transferred to Chelmsford City

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the continuing spell of dry weather, Bath's 28 August fixture has been transferred to Chelmsford City.

Entry and declaration stages for the seven-race evening fixture will remain unchanged with entries closing on Wednesday 22 August at 12 noon and declarations at the 48 hour stage. 

An equivalent race programme to that originally scheduled has been transferred to Chelmsford, with the exception of the 1m4f Class 5 handicap which has dropped back to a 1m2f Class 6 handicap due to the unavailability of a 1m4f start at Chelmsford.

Additional fixture for Naas

Due to the abandonment of five races at Ballinrobe last Monday, Horse Racing Ireland has announced an additional Flat Meeting at Naas on the evening of Tuesday, 4th September.

The fixture will feature a 5f maiden for two-year-olds, a nursery for those rated up to 70 over 5½f, a 45-65 three-yearold plus handicap over 5½f, a 50-80 rated three-year-old plus handicap over 1m, a 1m4f three-year-old plus handicap for those rated 45-65, a 50-80 rated handicap over 1m4f for those aged three and up, and a three-year-old plus winners of one conditions race (have not won or been placed in a Listed or Group race) over 1m4f.

Bath's 22nd August meet transferred to Brighton

Bath's Aug. 22 feature will be transferred to Brighton, due to the extended spell of dry weather, the British Horseracing Authority announced on Monday. Due to a lack of an appropriate start for the 14-furlong Bath Stayers Series at Brighton, that race will instead be carded over 18 furlongs at Chepstow on Aug. 23.

Bath's 8 and 18 August fixtures transferred to Chepstow

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the continuing spell of dry weather, Bath's 8 and 18 August fixtures have been transferred as follows:

Wednesday 8 August (afternoon) - Chepstow
Saturday 18 August (evening) - Chepstow

Entry and declaration stages for both fixtures will be as normal with entries closing for Chepstow on 8 August tomorrow, Thursday 2 August at 12 noon.
 

Bath's 3 August fixture transferred to Wolverhampton


The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the continuing spell of dry weather, Bath's 3 August fixture has been transferred to Wolverhampton.

Entries will close as previously at 12 noon on Saturday 28 July, with declarations at the 48 hour stage on Wednesday 1 August. 

The race programme will be equivalent to the one originally planned and further fixture information will be available via the racing admin site www2.racingadmin.co.uk in due course. 

Additional All Weather fixtures at Wolverhampton on 29 July and Lingfield Park on 30 July

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that due to the continuing spell of dry weather, two additional afternoon fixtures, which will be 7 race cards, have been arranged as follows:

Wolverhampton (AWT) – Sunday 29 July
Lingfield Park (AWT) – Monday 30 July

Entries for Wolverhampton on Sunday 29 July close at 12 noon on Wednesday 25 July, with declarations on Friday 27 July.

Entries for Lingfield Park on Monday 30 July close at 12 noon on Wednesday 25 July with declarations on Saturday 28 July

Additional Jump Fixture at Southwell

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today announced that an additional Jump fixture will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 13 May at Southwell Racecourse.

Entries for the seven race card will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 9 May with declarations as normal on Friday 11 May.

Gowran Park rescheduled

Following the cancellation of the Gowran Park meeting last Sunday, Horse Racing Ireland has announced that the meeting is now rescheduled for Tuesday, 29th May (evening meeting).

A new programme of races featuring the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes will be published in due course. Fresh entries for this meeting will close by 12 noon on Thursday, 24th May with declarations to run to be made by 10am on Monday, 28th May. The time of the first race will be at 5.15pm.

Extra meeting at Towcester

EXTRA MEETING AT TOWCESTER The BHA has announced that an additional jumps fixture will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, 6th May at Towcester. Entries for the seven-race card will close at 12 noon today, with declarations as normal this Friday. The first of seven races will begin at 1pm, with full race programme and further fixture information available via the racing admin site www2.racingadmin.co.uk

Additional Jumps Card at Newcastle

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has announced that an additional Jump fixture will take place on the afternoon of Sunday, 15th April at Newcastle.

The full race programmes and further fixture information will be available via the racing admin site www2.racingadmin.co.uk from 3pm today. This is to allow time to take today’s afternoon fixture at Hexham into account in light of current weather conditions.

Entries for the seven-race card will therefore close at 12 noon on Wednesday, with declarations at the 24-hour stage as normal on Saturday, 14th.
